Empowering the people of Haiti through the education of it’s students for a brighter future.

Supporting growth through education.

The Monrovia Foundation for Haiti was founded in 2012 with a goal of helping the poor and disadvantaged people of Miragoane, Haiti by providing access to better education and helping to improve living conditions. Prior to formally founding the Monrovia Foundation for Haiti as a Non Profit 501(c) (3), its founders had been privately supporting the people of Miragoane, Haiti since 1989.

Our mission is ongoing, and our commitment to helping the country rise above its physical, environmental, and cultural challenges is unwavering. We believe that access to improved education and educational resources is the key to Haiti's future.

Education Sponsorships

Did you know that school in Haiti is not free… Each year we pay tuitions for hundreds of students; and through you we’ve sponsored thousands of children since our inception in 2012. By sponsoring a child, you are offering a life changing opportunity not only for a child but a family, community and a country.

Materials for Learning

Many educational materials, equipment and facilities are often out of date or not working and basic school supplies such as pencils, paper and erasers aren’t readily available. We work with school officials, teachers and local leaders to ensure that students and teachers have access to these basic supplies and updated technologies.

Support for Communities

Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students, teachers and parents have the necessary support to do their best learning together.
